The Word says "taste and see that the Lord is good" and I might just add, we aren't half bad either, lol. Come and give our group a try!

Our possible start up date for this year is August 7, 2013. I am awaiting a final ok from our host church facility. Check back soon for the confirmed date and plan to pray alongside me from start to finish this year
The summer hot days may make us feel blah, oppressed, even void of enthusiasm and energy, but i say we are all a bunch of D.O.G.s--we are Daughters of God, and I think of the cursed and social outcast of a woman, who said but Lord even the dogs enjoy the crumbs from Your table. Girls I would challenge you to move from "crummy" to "crumby". There is more than that if you pull up a chair to His bountiful table. Perhaps you are satisfied with a crumb, nibbling, afraid to overfill on His goodness, thinking perhaps that you are just lucky (blessed) to even get that since you are so undeserving. Others stay busy with a serving spoon in their hand, always dipping and portioning, but never stopping to fill their own plate, still others sit down, give thanks and eat of the good things, being made full even to overflowing...We are not created to stay on a diet of bread and milk, for there is no maturity or healthy spiritual growth in those things, they are only a beginner's diet.
May has arrived and our season of getting together for prayer will soon be ending. The resounding theme I believe I keep hearing is that when our kids leave for college, the prayer group experience is not over at all, but instead a new chapter to a book being written into their lives and our's every day. I thought I would become orphaned, but now I am thinking that we shall hold one another up in prayer and fellowship for a long long time to come. <><
Ahhh April..the smell of flowers now in full bloom and all the bloomin' allergies that go with 'em. It feels like we are in our final lap of this year's race to the end of school. Little League is in full "swing" ok pun intended. ha! Our last Moms in Prayer meet day will be May 2nd. Seems too soon :(
Thanks be to God who covered each of our homes, our children and our travels with His hand of protection during the tornadic onslaught! Tis the month o' March and yes that means green!!! hhahah Though thinking on the wee people of dear Ireland, remember this: There are no little people with God. We serve the great big God, Who has overcome all so that we may live out our faith large and loud!
No greater love has a man than he would lay His own life down for his friend. If you say you love God but hate your brother, then the love of the Father is not really in you. My friend Audrey is our Moms in Prayer "love" disciple. I can expect each week at prayer a "love" remark from her. I guess that makes her our own John. :)
Back to school today after a very restful, non-hurried Christmas break. Had our Tornado Talk meeting and ran into a family from the past that just made me praise God all over again for His goodness, mercy, and miracles!
