A Little More About Us The core members of this group have been praying for 10 years. We have grown from 2 to 14, but mostly somewhere in between. And though "Alcoa" in name, we have found hearts from other school systems desiring to pray, and we have extended our fellowship to include them among us. We have participants from Blount County, as well as Maryville City Schools. Our focus is about Him and not who won the Friday night football match-up. :) Our prayer coverage has grown with our children...including Maryville College, Pellissippi State Community College, Lincoln Memorial University, University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and Florida State University. This group is multi-denominational and we are unapologetically Christian, Those of you who work or physically are unable to come can still be praying wherever you are, or send in your praises or concerns by phone, text message, or via email and we will make it a matter of great importance. Also, because others trust their most heartfelt hopes, needs, and fears to us, we take confidentiality very seriously. None of our mothers who meet to pray, attend 1st Baptist; we actually attend many different fellowships among ourselves, but when you come to the church office door next to the main sanctuary, ring the bell, and tell the smiling receptionist that you are there to pray with the "ladies" (as the staff refers to us), they will help you find your way (upstairs). Sometimes afterwards we hate to see the fellowship and bonding come to an end, so we take our chatting and friendship-building to an area restaurant for breakfast.

"The Battle is the Lord's. The battlefront is our schools. The victory which will surely come and has already come belongs to God and to us. Defeated is the enemy. The effort is our's. The glory is His. Praise be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Amen"
